Coming from the South

Take 411 North until you see the Maryville City limits sign. Go through four traffic lights, staying to the right on to 321 North. Go through two traffic lights, staying right onto 321 North. Go through four traffic lights until you see Blount Memorial Hospital on the left, followed by Food Lion grocery store and then Heritage High School. Walland City limits are about two miles past Heritage High School. Look for Amoco food shop and gas station on the left. Go about 7/10 of a mile. Turn right onto Foothills Parkway exit. You will travel up the mountain for approximately 12 minutes or 9 and 2/10 miles. Look for a sign that reads "Lookrock tower trail, Campground, and Flats Rd." Take a left at this sign. Before you reach the camping area, take the first right onto Flats Rd. You will wind down the hill and then bare to the left at the bottom of the hill. This is the "Top of the World Community". Continue for approximately three minutes or 1 and 4/10 miles. You will know you are on the right track if you see the small shallow lake on the right. Begin looking for a wood sign on the left labled "Sandy Stand Rd." Turn left on Sandy Stand Rd. Our cabin is the first cabin on the right. It has a red roof. The house number is 6217. Coming from the North

From Knoxville, take the Smokey Mountains Exit onto Alcoa Highway. Look for McGhee Tyson Airport on the right. Pass the airport and bare left on the Smokey Mountains exit. This is the Alcoa area. There will be no more exits for the next 15-20 minutes. You will also pass through Maryville. You can look for the following landmarks to make sure you are on the right track: Krogers grocery store on the right, then Blount Memorial Hospital on the left followed by Food Lion grocery store and then Heritage High School.
